Samsung Galaxy S10 – The Middle Child of the New Samsung Line-up

The latest line of Android smart-phones, revealed at a press event on February 20, 2019, is a commemorative series of devices for the 10th anniversary of the Samsung Galaxy S flagship line.

The New S10 line-up will be an integral part of your day

There are four models in the line. The two main ones are the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+. There is a smaller version of the series called the S10e, in addition to a larger, 5G compatible version dubbed the S10 5G. They come in Prism Black, Prism Green and Prism White colours

In the US, South America and China, the smart-phones use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 microprocessor, while other international models use the Exynos 9820 system.

The Main Differences Are the Screen Sizes

While the S10 is a big phone, it’s still not as big as the S10+. If you want a smaller, less bulky phone, then the S10 might be a great option. If you want something even smaller, then go for the S10E.

The biggest difference when it comes to the S10 and the S10+ is the screen size. The S10 ships with a 6.1″ screen while the S10+ has a 6.4″ screen. All of the models can be selected in the Prism Black, Prism Green or Prism White colours.

While the screen sizes are different, the two models work with exactly the same technology. They both have a high-resolution bright OLED panel that can be viewed from many different angles with vibrant colours.

The screens stretch all the way to the top and bottom of the frame. In addition, all models have sides that are curved. They are very comfortable to hold and use.

Apps and Security Features

The S10 comes with a range of security features and apps that will help users organise their day to day tasks. With a massive 8GB of RAM, multitasking is made easy. Additionally, the S10 can easily go for a full 24 hours without needing a recharge, while the S10+ has been shown to soldier through almost 48 hours of usage before needing a power top up.

The fingerprint scanning technology in the S10 and the S10+ is the latest technology to be shipped and is an upgrade of the version used in the Samsung Galaxy S9 series. The S10e model features an older and more tested unlocking technology and according to some early reviewers is a bit more reliable than the one used in the S10 and the S10+.

Digital fingerprint unlocking technology is the future

When it comes to photo and video processing, the S10 series of smart-phones excels. With its Scene Optimizer software it can recognise up to 30 scenes and will even optimise colours for stunning shots. Additionally, the dual aperture in the rear lens is great for adapting to different light levels and can faithfully recreate what is seen by the human eye.

Because the S10 and the S10+ can be upgraded from 128GB to 512GB or even to a beastly 1TB of storage, they can be used as a gaming phone, with many reviewers amazed that they can play the hit game Fortnite flawlessly. Even with the 128GB model, most mobile games will run well.

Carrier Dependent Features

There are many features available depending on your carrier. Features such as unlimited minutes and unlimited texts. Even if you don’t live in an area with access to the new 5G network, you should still be able to easily find contract deals that can give you 1GB of 4G data.
